James became part of the team at Staircase Constructions in May of 2015, whilst doing work experience through Geelong High School. He was offered a full-time position in October 2015 where he began his joinery apprenticeship. James is part of the installation team and he prides himself on his organisational skills. James ensures that the trailers are loaded with all the necessary materials and that his crew have everything at their disposal, to ensure a day of installation sails as smoothly as possible. His style of workmanship is to be one step ahead at all times and to plan for unforeseen complications when working on site.
James’ current goals at Staircase Constructions are to become fully qualified, continue developing his skills and to become an Installation Sensei. He is open to many other roles in the business, whether that be production or estimation, and is eager to take on the extra complications that custom jobs entail. His dream job would involve travel as he hopes to work as a means to explore the world. James claims that he enjoys installation and travelling to the different suburbs, as most days are spent on the road in between each job.
James enjoys sport, whether that be kicking the footy or having a hit at the nets. If he could attain a superpower it would be invisibility, and after a long day on the road, James can’t go past a meal from McDonalds.
