ABOUT

Mick began his apprenticeship at Staircase Constructions in 2005, in the field of joinery. Subsequent to attending Western Heights College. His current role in the business is the Design/Production Sensei. Mick is a mentor to all staff with over 10 years of experience in staircase joinery. Mick’s primary focus is on ensuring that each staircase is produced to the utmost standard, guaranteeing the quality of the product and assuring customer satisfaction.

Mick evaluates various areas of the business, including managing the production crew, advising the scheduling of both production and installation, and guiding the production team with ordering materials. With Mick’s infinite knowledge of stairs, he is able to guide the team to get the best possible outcome of production. In regards to high-end stairs, Mick enjoys getting out to site and consulting the customers personally, ensuring he delivers precisely what the client is after. He hopes to share his knowledge with the boys, to create more cohesion in the workplace and to continue to advance his own skills. A primary goal for Mick would be continuing to be a fundamental part of the growth of Staircase Constructions.

When Mick takes time out from his busy workload, he enjoys fishing, camping, snowboarding and most water sports. If he could attain a super power it would be to turn invisible and loves to eat lasagne.
