Trevor Leigh (Teej)
ABOUT
Teej commenced work at Staircase Constructions in 2008, subsequent to attending Clairvaux Primary School and St Joseph’s College. Midway through year 11 he was uncertain about what he should do and decided to begin his joinery apprenticeship. Teej’s principal role is as the Installation Sensei. He has achieved a sensei status in both standard and custom installation, attaining the capability to effectively install staircases, whilst organising the team and communicating with customers. He ensures that all duties are completed on site and assists in solving the issues that arise beyond the control of the team. In this role, Teej has helped build the installation team to where it is today and takes a hands-on approach in training the apprentices, so that they can independently install future stairs. Additionally, Teej has excelled in production and design aspects of stair manufacturing.
Teej hopes to become a master of his trade and to continue to assist the installation team in their proficiency and competence. He claims that one day he would love to run a team of fully qualified installers. In his time spent away from the business, Teej enjoys playing video games such as Call of Duty and Fifa. Teej appreciates having the time to work on his cars and playing sport, mostly golf and indoor soccer, as a keeper. With the ability to possess a superpower Teej would choose the ability to fly, and cannot go past a chicken parmi with chips and gravy.
